Social Media Scripts

Three 60-second speaking scripts for Instagram Reels and TikTok, each with a different hook angle.

v0.2.0Updated 2026-04-19

Social Media Scripts give you three ready-to-record short-form video scripts drawn from your sermon. Each script is about 150 words — roughly 60 seconds when spoken at a natural pace — and leads with a different opening hook so you can pick the one that best fits your style or test all three across different posts.

What You'll Get

Three variations, each containing:

  • A hook — the first sentence, written to stop a scrolling thumb in the first three seconds
  • The core insight from the sermon, distilled into a few punchy sentences
  • A scripture reference woven naturally into the script
  • A call to action at the end ("Watch the full sermon at..." or "Join us this Sunday")

The three variations each use a different hook angle, so you get a question hook, a story-based hook, and a bold statement hook from a single generation.

Editing and Customizing

  1. Open the output

From your sermon's page, click the Social Media Scripts tile. The three variations appear side by side.

Click to open all three script variations
  2. Read through all three

Each variation is labeled with its hook angle. Read them aloud — the best script is the one that sounds most natural coming from you. Some pastors record all three and post them on different days.

  3. Edit and personalize

Click the script text to edit it inline. You might swap in a phrase you use in real life, tighten the hook, or adjust the CTA to reflect your church's specific website or series name.

  4. Copy and record

Hit Copy on the variation you want. Paste it into your teleprompter app, notes app, or print it out. Then record straight to your phone.

Tip

Record within a day or two of preaching while the material is still fresh. Authentic delivery beats a perfectly memorized script every time — it is fine to glance at your notes or riff slightly off the written words.

Tips for Best Results

  • The hook is the most important part — if the first sentence does not grab attention, viewers will swipe away. Feel free to rewrite just the first sentence until it sounds like something you would actually say.
  • Scripts work best for sermons with a single strong central point. If your sermon covered multiple major themes, PreachKit will focus on the one that came through most clearly in the transcript.
  • Adding your church's Instagram handle in the church profile settings lets PreachKit suggest a follow CTA at the end of each script.

Plan Availability

Social Media Scripts are available on all paid plans.

Common Questions

Can I regenerate if I want different angles? Yes — use the Regenerate button to get three fresh variations. Each regeneration uses one generation credit.

How long are the scripts when spoken aloud? At a comfortable speaking pace, each script runs 50–65 seconds. Speak slightly faster for TikTok, slightly slower for Instagram Reels where a more reflective tone often performs better.

Are these the same as the Reels/Shorts scripts? No. These are simpler, single-version scripts aimed at quick recording. The Reels/Shorts Scripts output produces four hook styles, each with both a short and a long version, plus detailed visual cue timelines for your video editor.
