v0.2.0Updated 2026-04-19

Sermon Polish gives you an expert coaching session on demand. Paste your sermon text — or upload a document or audio recording — and PreachKit returns 8 to 15 specific, encouraging annotations covering structure, theology, illustrations, delivery, and more.

What You'll Learn

  • How to submit a sermon for analysis
  • What context fields affect the quality of feedback
  • What to expect while the analysis runs
Note

Sermon Polish is available on the Growth plan. Trial accounts receive a small number of free analyses before upgrading.

Step-by-Step

  1. Open Sermon Polish

Navigate to Sermon Polish in the sidebar. You will see your remaining credit balance at the bottom of the form. Each analysis costs one credit.

  2. Add your sermon text

Choose how you want to provide your content:

    • Paste Text — copy and paste directly into the text area. Requires at least 500 characters.
    • Upload Document — upload a .docx, .pdf, or .txt file. PreachKit extracts the text for you.
    • Upload Recording — upload an audio or video file. PreachKit transcribes it and uses the transcript as the basis for feedback.

Then select whether your text is a Full Manuscript, an Outline and Notes, or a Recording Transcript. This changes the type of delivery coaching you receive.

  3. Fill in the context fields

Better context means better feedback. Complete the required fields:

    • Denomination — PreachKit tailors theological feedback to your tradition.
    • Target Audience — select one or more (Youth, Adults, Mixed, Senior, Family).
    • Occasion — such as Sunday Morning, Revival, Wedding, or Funeral.

    Optional fields worth filling in:

    • Scripture Passage — helps anchor theological feedback to your text.
    • Part of a Series — tells the AI where this sermon fits in a larger arc.
    • Self Assessment — describe what you most want feedback on. PreachKit prioritizes those areas.
  4. Submit for analysis

Click Analyze Sermon (1 credit). PreachKit sends your sermon for analysis, which typically takes 30 to 60 seconds. You can wait on the page or come back later — the session is saved.

Tip

Fill in the Self Assessment field with your honest concerns — for example, "I feel the conclusion is weak" or "I'm not sure the illustration in the middle lands." PreachKit will pay extra attention to those areas.

Common Questions

What happens if I run out of credits? The submit button will be disabled and a banner will appear. You can purchase additional credits from the same page without losing your draft.

Can I submit an outline instead of a full manuscript? Yes. Select Outline and Notes as the text type. Delivery feedback will focus on expansion suggestions and transitions rather than pacing.

How long can my sermon text be? Up to 50,000 characters (roughly a 45-minute manuscript). Shorter texts of at least 500 characters are accepted.
