Batch Importing Your Back Catalog
Select and import multiple YouTube videos at once to quickly build out your sermon library from past recordings.
If your church has been uploading sermons to YouTube for years, importing them one by one would take forever. Batch Import lets you check a box next to every video you want and import them all in a single step. PreachKit handles the processing in the background while you go on with your day.
What You'll Learn
- How to select multiple videos for batch import
- How to track progress during a batch import
- How videos that are already imported are handled
Step-by-Step
Open the YouTube Import page
Go to Sermons in the sidebar and click Import from YouTube, or use the Import Past Sermons button in the YouTube sync settings. Your channel's videos load automatically.
Review your token balance
Your available token balance is shown near the top of the page. Each video you import costs one token. The page shows a running total as you select videos — for example, "3 selected = 3 tokens."
Make sure you have enough tokens before proceeding. If not, you can purchase more from the billing section and return here.
Select the videos you want to import
Click individual video cards to toggle them. Selected videos are highlighted in orange.
To select everything on the current page at once, click Select All. To deselect them all, click Deselect All. Videos labeled Already Imported are automatically skipped and cannot be selected.
If your channel has many videos, click Load More Videos to fetch additional pages, then select from those as well.

Select All picks every video not yet imported on the current page Start the import
Click Import Selected (N) where N is the number of videos you have chosen. PreachKit starts processing them in the background.
A progress bar appears at the top of the page showing the percentage complete. You can leave the page — the import will continue regardless.

The progress bar updates in real time — you can stay on the page or navigate away Find your imported sermons
When the import finishes, the progress bar disappears and the imported videos are marked Already Imported in the browser. Your new sermons appear in the Sermons list with the title, date, thumbnail, and transcript from YouTube.
Start with your most recent 20-30 sermons first. That gives you a working library quickly. You can always come back and import older recordings later.
If a video was already imported in a previous session, it is automatically skipped even if you accidentally select it. You will not be charged a token for it, and the import summary will show how many were skipped.
Common Questions
How many videos can I import at once? There is no fixed maximum, but very large batches — hundreds of videos — may take several minutes to process. PreachKit will work through them in order.
What if the import fails partway through? Videos that were successfully processed before the failure are saved. You can return to the import page and start a new batch for any remaining videos.
Can I import and use Auto-Sync at the same time? Yes. Batch Import handles your existing back catalog. Auto-Sync takes over for new uploads going forward. They work independently.
