Content Calendar

Assign your generated content to specific days of the week and download a ready-to-use weekly kit for your social channels.

v0.2.0Updated 2026-04-19

After PreachKit generates content from a sermon, the Content Calendar helps you spread that content across the week — one piece per day — so your church stays active online without scrambling for material last minute. You pick what goes where, save the schedule, and then copy or download each piece when you are ready to post.

What You'll Learn

  • How to assign content types to days of the week
  • How to let PreachKit auto-assign for you
  • How to copy or download individual pieces
  • How to download the full weekly content kit
  • How to save a schedule as your default for future sermons

Step-by-Step

  1. Open the Content Calendar

Navigate to any sermon that has finished processing. Scroll past the generated content cards until you see the Weekly Content Calendar panel. It only appears once at least one piece of content is ready.

  2. Assign content to each day

Each column represents a day of the week (Monday through Friday). Click the dropdown inside any day column and choose a content type from the list — for example, place the social media post on Monday and the discussion questions on Wednesday.

Only content types that have already been generated appear as selectable options. Types listed as not generated are shown greyed out for reference.

  3. Preview, copy, or download

Once you assign a content type to a day, a short preview of that content appears below the dropdown. Use the Copy button to copy the text to your clipboard, or Download to save the file.

  4. Save the schedule

Click Save Schedule to save your assignments for this sermon. Your saved schedule will persist if you leave the page and come back.

To apply this same day-by-day layout to all future sermons automatically, click Save as default instead. PreachKit will pre-fill new sermon schedules using this pattern, which you can always adjust per sermon.

Tip

Click Auto-assign to let PreachKit distribute your available content types across the week for you. It is a useful starting point that you can then adjust manually.

Downloading the Full Weekly Kit

At the bottom of the Content Calendar panel, click Download Weekly Content Kit to get all assigned content in a single archive. This is handy for handing off to a communications volunteer or scheduling in bulk.

Common Questions

What if I haven't generated all the content types I want? You can generate more content types from the sermon page at any time. Once they finish, they will appear as available options in the Calendar dropdowns.

Can I assign the same content type to more than one day? Each content type can only be placed in one slot. If you want to post similar content on multiple days, consider generating a second version from the sermon outputs page.

Does the Calendar post to social media automatically? Not currently — the Calendar is a planning and export tool. You copy or download the content, then post it through your preferred platform.
